Quest on Queen Serviced Apartments

Central location for easy access to the waterfront. We were high enough to get a partial sea view from the balcony. Full kitchenette with cooktop was useful. Laundry (washer and dryer) in room was a bonus. Access to a full-on local gym is available. It's a 5 minute walk to a different location and you need an access card from the hotel front desk. We stayed here because there was no availability on Wiaheke Island over a long weekend. We did a day trip to the island - stay on the island if you can for a couple of nights.

While the apartment itself is rather small, it has an impressive amount of amenities and was very efficient. It is in a great location - easy to get anywhere in the city centre. We were on the 9th floor which had only 4 apartments on that level. We never heard a peep from the other apartments. They were very good about storing our luggage when we arrived early and also holding it after we checked out but were not ready to head to the airport yet. Wifi worked well. It even has a balcony to sit and observe the city. It is surrounded by high-rises.

Location is excellent and all modes of transport are available within walking distance. Shopping Centres , departmental stores are close by for all our conveniences. Since we were on 6th floor, we did not have any noise disturbance from traffic. Most of the city landmarks are close by. Recommended for stay.

I arrived at 11am to drop off my bag as check-in wasn't until 2pm. To my great surprise and relief, I was told by the super friendly receptionist that my room was ready and that I could check-in there and then. I was supposed to check-out on the Sunday but after being out all night at a concert all I wanted to do was rest up. I called reception at 8am when they opened and the same receptionist who checked me in on Friday gave me a great price for the additional night to leave Monday morning instead. My room/balcony had a view of both Fort St and Queens St, on the sunny days it was nice to people watch with a glass of wine. Yes, it's the city center so expect noise from people and traffic.

Location was great! Right in the city centre and 5min walk to the harbour. Plenty of shops cafes, restaurants and the ferries for getting around! Make sure you book your ferry tickets in advance if travelling in summer! There were 2 cruise ships docked when we were there!
